When we came and established ourselves in the city of Montreal, we brought with us: our customs, our values, and our native language. However, we had to embrace a new flag. Nonetheless, our Haitian flag always remained in our hearts. This symbol of pride for our nation was created on May 18th 1803, and in May 2017 our flag will be 214 years old. Coincidently, Montreal was founded on May 17th 1642 and will turn 375 years old. What about celebrating both of our communities for Montreal's 375th?
You are cordially invited to celebrate with we Run For Ali as a vernissage will take place on May 20th 2017 at 4pm. This is your chance to come discover Haitian art and culture. All the art that will be on display is directly from artists in Haiti. In addition, you can enjoy a wine and cheese tasting of products produced here in Quebec.
The first 50 tickets will be $25.00 per person. After that, prices are subject to increase.
The funds collected will be used to finance water projects in the southern part of Haiti affected by hurricane Mathew.
Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to discover the wonders of Haiti, and savor our selection of wine and cheeses.
