When we came and established ourselves in the city of Montreal, we brought with us: our customs, our values, and our native language. However, we had to embrace a new flag. Nonetheless, our Haitian flag always remained in our hearts. This symbol of pride for our nation was created on May 18th 1803, and in May 2017 our flag will be 214 years old. Coincidently, Montreal was founded on May 17th 1642 and will turn 375 years old. What about celebrating both of our communities for Montreal's 375th?

You are cordially invited to celebrate with we Run For Ali as a vernissage will take place on May 20th 2017 at 4pm. This is your chance to come discover Haitian art and culture. All the art that will be on display is directly from artists in Haiti. In addition, you can enjoy a wine and cheese tasting of products produced here in Quebec.

The first 50 tickets will be $25.00 per person. After that, prices are subject to increase.

The funds collected will be used to finance water projects in the southern part of Haiti affected by hurricane Mathew.

Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to discover the wonders of Haiti, and savor our selection of wine and cheeses.

NATURE RUN SERIES: Bois de Liesse

  • 3555 Rue Douglas B Floreani Montréal, QC, H4S 1Y6 Canada (map)

Today marks the second edition of what We Run for Ali calls the "Nature Run Series." It is an emotional journey gathering individuals who love to run and more importantly an opportunity to run for a purpose; to promote the well being of Nature. This run will be held at Bois de Liesse   Chalet d'accueil des champs located at 3555 Rue Douglas B Floreani, Montréal, QC H4S 1Y6 on Sunday September 25th, 2016.  Contributions collected will be used to support the different development projects linked to the communes devastated by drought, in south eastern Haiti.

"Solidarité pour le Dévéloppement Local" has donated 40,000 Moringa seeds to the locals of "Ravine Sable", with the help of an agricultural engineer, the seeds were planted in "Archaie", city in the western department, since water is more accessible and the land more fertile. These plants were later replanted in "Ravine Sable"on  May 1rs 2016 Agriculture day.

With your help we hope to drill our first wells  in "Ravine Sable" region of "Gros Marin", by May 2017. This will facilitate the reforestation program in the area, and provide clean drinking water to the community.

We count on your early subscription to participate in this life changing event register at ........ it takes only minutes to fill out your subscription form.  Join the “Nature Run Series.”  Can’t wait to run with You!

Thank You for your support!

EARTH DAY: NATURE RUN SERIES

It seems like it was only yesterday that we participated in our first marathon "Marathon de Montreal 2014" ever since we have been blessed to have many supporters run by us to help our organization reach its goals every time. That being said, we have always envisioned to have our own marathon one day, which is why this year we have decided to make our own intimate "marathon" named "Nature Run Series". With the support of the Ville de Dollard des Ormeaux and many others, we are fortunate to begin this reality. This

Saturday April 23rd Earth day weekend we will start our first Nature Run Series at Centennial Park

Join us make this dream come true! All you have to do is run... How easy is that!

This family oriented run is free for all those under the age of 10.
A 1 to 5k run, dedicated to promote green alternatives and support to different communes devastated by the drought in Haiti.

March Against Monsanto

  • Google Calendar ICS

Mission Statement

On May 23, 2015, activists around the world will, once again, unite to March Against Monsanto.

Why do we march?

Research studies have shown that Monsanto’s genetically-modified foods can lead to serious health conditions such as the development of cancer tumors, infertility and birth defects. In the United States, the FDA, the agency tasked with ensuring food safety for the population, is steered by ex-Monsanto executives, and we feel that’s a questionable conflict of interests and explains the lack of government-lead research on the long-term effects of GMO products. Recently, the U.S. Congress and president collectively passed the nicknamed “Monsanto Protection Act” that, among other things, bans courts from halting the sale of Monsanto’s genetically-modified seeds.

For too long, Monsanto has been the benefactor of corporate subsidies and political favoritism. Organic and small farmers suffer losses while Monsanto continues to forge its monopoly over the world’s food supply, including exclusive patenting rights over seeds and genetic makeup. Monsanto’s GMO seeds are harmful to the environment; for example, scientists have indicated they have caused colony collapse among the world’s bee population.

Coldest Night of The Year 2015

No rain, snow  nor sleet can stop the cause.

Face frozen, can't feel my cheeks but this is just a taste of the daily battle many of our fellow brothers and sisters have to deal with when it comes to homelessness .

It certainly is a reminder that we need to do our best and keep our neighbors in our hearts as much as we can and give back.

We Run For Ali is worldwide and Today we are pulled out of our comforts, out of the winter slump to continue the mission.

Thank You to Ron Dunn & the Downtown Mission and The Coldest Night of The Year, for the opportunity to share our story .
